The Magic Bus program has begun its 2020-21 program with a modified program to meet COVID-19 safety, health and wellness. We are currently operating at half of our capacity, with almost all slots full. However, please reach out with your interest and we will get you on our interest/waiting list. Thank you for your patience! Be safe and well!

The Magic Bus team is passionate and dedicated to the safety, well-being, learning, and development of your child, as well as supporting you as their most important teacher. The program staff is mindful of the ever-changing reality and effects of COVID-19 on our community. Depending on health and safety
guidelines, fall programming could include:

  • Distance learning experiences that offer families opportunities
to connect virtually, as well as stay connected through supply drop-offs.
  • Neighborhood Family Gatherings that offer student and
parent a time to learn and connect with others in person.
  • Classes on the Magic Bus, modified for the safety and well-being of all.

The Magic Bus provides a state licensed, engaging pre-school experience for families with children ages 3 to 5 years old, who do not attend a traditional preschool program.  With two mobile pre-school classrooms, the program makes bi-weekly visits to 8 different communities throughout Eagle County. The Magic Bus offers developmentally appropriate activities that build social-emotional, language, literacy and math development using dual language instruction. Teachers on the bus utilize Teaching Strategies GOLD to assess students’ progress, develop lesson plans and inform parents during home visitation conferences. The program allows children to experience the importance of play and discovery, while preparing for kindergarten.
