Employer Matched Gift
Do you know if your employer participates in a Matching Gift program? If so, please take a moment to maximize your gift to YouthPower365 (at no cost to you) by requesting a matching gift form from your employer. Contact your HR department to find out if your company offers such a program.
Colorado Gives Day // Tuesday, December 5, 2023
Each year, we celebrate Colorado Gives Day. This annual statewide movement celebrates and increases philanthropy in Colorado through online giving. The $1 Million Incentive Fund created by the CO Gives Day partners is one of the largest giving-day incentive funds in the country. Community First Foundation and FirstBank are presenting Colorado Gives Day on Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2023.

Stock or Securities
Donation of stock is one of the most tax-smart ways to give, allowing you to avoid capital gains tax. Please connect with our Director of Development, Euginnia Seyferth at 970.777.2015 or eseyferth@vvf.org to obtain the detailed instructions on how to make a stock transfer to YouthPower365. Please note that it is important to notify the YouthPower365 prior to any stock transfer in order for us to properly identify and acknowledge your gift.
Wire Transfer

Donor-Advised Fund (DAF)
A Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) A donor advised fund, which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to YouthPower365 and other qualified charities. You can recommend a grant or recurring grants now to make an immediate impact or use your fund as a tool for future charitable gifts.

IRA Charitable Rollover
Are you 70 1/2 years of age or older? If so, the IRA Charitable Rollover is a tax-smart and increasingly popular way of support non-profits. This permanent provision of the tax code allows you to transfer all or a portion of the required minimum distribution (RMD) directly to YouthPower365.
A charitable rollover of IRA funds to YouthPower365 will not count as taxable income in the year you make your gift, which may keep you in a lower tax bracket. Your gift to YouthPower365 counts toward your RMD. And you save taxes whether you claim the standard deduction or itemize.
Tax Refund
Have you heard about ReFUND CO? A new state tax refund donation program allows you to use some or all of your refund to directly support our work in the community! Consider a donation to YouthPower365 through your Colorado Tax Refund!
When the taxpayer has determined that they will get a Colorado refund, they will use the “Voluntary Contributions” schedule to choose an eligible nonprofit. Taxpayers should look for the new additional option of “Donate to a Colorado Nonprofit Fund”.
